Discord bluffing card game

Lie, call, curse, and survive the Goblin's Den.

Create private lobbies, deal secret hands, bluff through rounds, expose suspicious goblins, and use trick cards to become the last goblin standing.

Built for fast Discord chaos.

Goblin's Den keeps gameplay inside Discord with private channels, buttons, select menus, and clear turn prompts.

Private Lobbies

Each game gets its own private channel that deletes after the game ends or is closed.

Bluffing Rounds

Play cards face-down, claim they match the target, and dare the next goblin to call you out.

Trick Cards

Smoke Puff, Greedy Paw, and Cursed Coin add pressure, information, and risk.

Quick Summary

You and the other goblins sit in a private den. Each round has a target card type. On your turn, you play 1-3 cards face-down and claim they match the target. The next goblin can continue playing or call your claim a lie.

If the claim was false: the liar takes a Curse Roll.

If the claim was true: the caller takes a Curse Roll.

Turn Flow

  1. The bot chooses a target: Crowns, Fangs, or Coins.
  2. Each active goblin receives a private hand.
  3. The current player plays 1-3 cards face-down and claims they match the target.
  4. The next goblin either plays cards or calls the previous claim a lie.
  5. When lie is called, the played cards are revealed and the wrong goblin takes a Curse Roll.

Curse Rolls

Curse Rolls are the elimination system. Each goblin starts at 1/6 risk.

Trick Cards

Smoke Puff trick card art

πŸ’¨ Smoke Puff

Hides your next played card count so the table sees that you played β€œsome” cards face-down.

Greedy Paw trick card art

🐾 Greedy Paw

Privately peek at one random card from another goblin's hand.

Cursed Coin trick card art

πŸͺ™ Cursed Coin

Places a curse on another goblin. Their next Curse Roll rolls twice and uses the worse result.

Basic Strategy

  • Do not call every suspicious play. Wrong calls punish you.
  • Track what players claim across turns.
  • Mimics make true claims easier than they look.
  • Bluffing with 1 card is safer; bluffing with 3 cards is easier to challenge.
  • Use Smoke Puff before a risky play.
  • Use Greedy Paw before calling someone who seems confident.
  • Use Cursed Coin on a goblin who is already under pressure.

Bot Setup Notes

The bot needs these Discord permissions to create private channels, manage lobby access, and clean up finished games:

  • Manage Channels
  • Manage Roles
  • View Channels
  • Send Messages
  • Read Message History
  • Mention Everyone, optional; only needed for non-mentionable role pings

Keep the bot role above the selected member role in Server Settings β†’ Roles.
