Goblin's Den Discord Bot Terms of Service
Last updated: June 30, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules for using Goblin's Den Discord Bot ("Goblin's Den", "the Bot", "we", "us", or "our"). By inviting, configuring, or using the Bot, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Bot and remove it from your Discord server.
1. What Goblin's Den Does
Goblin's Den is a Discord mini-game bot for a private lobby-based bluffing card game played through Discord slash commands, buttons, select menus, embeds, and bot-created text channels.
The Bot may:
- Create and delete game lobby channels.
- Send public and ephemeral Discord responses.
- Send direct messages when a user requests a game guide.
- Manage channel permission overwrites for game lobbies and setup areas.
- Store limited server configuration needed for bot operation.
- Provide bot-owner diagnostic and server-list tools.
Goblin's Den is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. or any third-party game creator.
2. Discord Terms Also Apply
Your use of Goblin's Den must comply with:
- Discord's Terms of Service.
- Discord's Community Guidelines.
- Any rules set by the Discord server where the Bot is used.
- Any applicable laws or regulations.
Server owners and administrators are responsible for deciding whether Goblin's Den is appropriate for their server and for configuring the Bot's permissions safely.
3. Who May Use the Bot
You may use Goblin's Den only if you are allowed to use Discord and the server where the Bot is installed. The Bot is not intended for users under the minimum age required by Discord or applicable law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Goblin's Den to:
- Harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse other users.
- Spam commands, interactions, mentions, or generated channels.
- Attempt to crash, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Bot.
- Circumvent Discord permissions, server moderation decisions, or access controls.
- Use the Bot for illegal, harmful, or deceptive activity.
- Submit content that violates Discord's rules or the rules of the server where the Bot is used.
We may block access, deny support, or remove the Bot from servers that abuse the service or create operational, security, or legal risk.
5. Server Configuration and Permissions
Goblin's Den requires certain Discord permissions to work correctly, including permissions related to viewing channels, sending messages, reading message history, using application commands, managing channels, and managing roles.
Server administrators are responsible for:
- Reviewing requested permissions before inviting the Bot.
- Keeping the Bot role below trusted administrator roles.
- Keeping the Bot role above roles it needs to configure for Goblin's Den access.
- Ensuring that generated private lobby channels are appropriate for their server.
- Removing the Bot if they no longer want it to manage channels or game lobbies.
Goblin's Den setup tools are designed to configure only the channels and permission overwrites needed for game access, but Discord permission behavior ultimately depends on the server's role and channel configuration.
6. Game Behavior
Goblin's Den is provided for entertainment. The Bot may make randomized game decisions, enforce turn timers, automatically play or eliminate inactive players, announce game results, and delete game lobby channels after a game ends or is closed.
Game outcomes, rankings, action history, and lobby events are not guaranteed to be permanent records. They may be deleted when the lobby channel is deleted, when the Bot restarts, or when game state is cleared.
7. Bot Availability
Goblin's Den is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Bot will be online, error-free, uninterrupted, or available in every server at all times.
Features may change, break, be rate-limited, or be removed without notice. Discord API changes, hosting issues, permission problems, or maintenance may affect the Bot's behavior.
8. Data and Privacy
Goblin's Den collects and processes limited data needed to operate the Bot. Our Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how deletion requests can be made.
By using the Bot, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
9. User Content
Users and server administrators are responsible for the content they submit through Discord while using Goblin's Den, including messages, usernames, display names, server names, role names, and game interactions.
You grant us permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Bot.
10. No Warranties
Goblin's Den is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability to the fullest extent allowed by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, server configuration, profits, goodwill, or access, arising from or related to use of the Bot.
Because Discord server administrators control Bot permissions and server configuration, we are not responsible for damage caused by unsafe permission setups, misuse by server staff, or conflicts with other bots or server automations.
12. Termination
You may stop using Goblin's Den at any time by removing the Bot from your server.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Goblin's Den at any time if:
- The Bot is abused.
- A server or user violates these Terms.
- Continued service creates security, operational, legal, or platform risk.
- Discord requires removal or limitation.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will be changed when updates are made. Continued use of the Bot after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
